Puzzletober 2026: Hooray

There is much rejoicing about the castle courtyard. Tables are established both inside and outside booth-sized tents, at which many citizens are engaging in feasts and other forms of merriment. The scene is lively. A common chant percolates from one of the tents: "Hip-hip, hooray! So soon the day that all unknown is cast away!"

A few others stand and gaze stoically with palms facing down in front of their foreheads. Dahlia tells the duo, "We need to reach the castle without anyone paying us any mind."

Rules:

Draw a path for the trio that enters from the top and exits through the bottom where indicated; the path may only move in cardinal directions and cannot revisit cells. The path must not pass through any active clues. At any given time, either the circle clues or the square clues are active: it switches every time a border is crossed. A border must not be crossed directly to or from a clued cell regardless of if it's active.

Active cells with arrows represent guards. Guards must never see the trio as they move along the path. Line of sight is blocked only by other active clues. The boomerang may be used to distract guards: if the trio ever looks at an active guard (following line of sight rules and taking the direction to be the direction last moved in), they may cause the guard to turn around.
