LogicPad Collection

I ought to at least partially discuss Islands of Insight in the opener to this post. I personally enjoyed it as I was exploring it: I knew I wasn't going to be approaching it like a completionist, and I had high hopes that everything that was being introduced would be used to its fullest potential. This unfortunately turned out not to be the case, as the hidden object challenges and most movement challenges especially felt like they were simply inserted to increase the activity density. However, there are a couple enclaves that come to mind that explored puzzle types other than the logic grids with enough rigor to include their own satisfying insights. One of these, which introduced a wall puzzle type with colored tiles, really taught me to appreciate the capabilities of a concept the market tends to present as a pseudo-puzzler, just by tweaking a couple rules to replace luck with satisfying logic. The game's greatest strength is easily the logic grid puzzles, which were hand-crafted by talented constructors and cover a vast range of difficulties and possibilities. It doesn't just rehash old genre ideas either, contributing a method of ruleset-building with inherent nuance and a curated symbol set that synergizes neatly.

LogicPad provides an interface for people to set and solve puzzles in the style of the logic grids of Islands of Insight. Its README strongly encourages prospective users to discover all the clue symbols in-game before using the site, as it would technically be a spoiler for the presence of those clues in-game. This page's collection does encompass every in-game symbol and a few insightful patterns.
