A Couple Mini Chained Blocks

I recently constructed a special Chained Block for what will eventually be a full set of special shading puzzles, though I don't want to spoil what the gimmick is yet. While watching a movie, I randomly started thinking about max logic in a Chained Block, which led to the second in this set. I'm not sure if there are any larger grids that can be satisfied by two large number clues. The first just happened to be a variant of the second with more traditional logic, though the grid size does feel accommodating for its logic.
