Shade some cells. Shaded cells cannot be orthogonally adjacent. Every region must have at least one shaded cell, but all regions must have different numbers of shaded cells.

The first puzzle was inspired by a certain constraint which makes solving it almost trivial.

The second takes a more measured approach.
